I have just spent the last hour freaking out over old party dresses.

I don't know how it came to this, but somehow, on a Sunday night, I ended up here just completely losing it over pretty frocks.  Gughg.

On a less completely insane note, this backpack is way, far cool!

Dear Adorable Totokaelo Model,

I want your haircut.  Your bangs are just too good.  Tell me your secrets.

Love, Lindsay

PS. Also, if you can work some kind of UZI hook-up, I'd be into that, too.

Dear Rachel,

I think that it would behoove you to buy these old Swedish clogs.  They're your size, and they've got your name written all over them!  Har har har.

Your dear friend,
 Lindsay

Hi! Happy New Year! I Love True Grit!

Last night, Rachel & I saw True Grit at the overpriced, bedbug-ridden multiplex.  It was awesome.  We both loved it a lot a lot alot.  I guarentee I'll be dreaming about Matt Damen's leather fringed jacket and those gnarly shoot-out scenes for weeks.

And and and, thanks to the Coens, my new year's resolution has made itself quite obvious: get a hat like Mattie Ross' and wear it for the next 346 days.

It's 2011!  I'm doing hats this year!

HOLY COW.

These prints are pretty good.

Speaking of teensy, awesome, dollhouse-related things: Rachel informed me today that the miniatures at the Art Institute GET DECORATED FOR CHRISTMAS!  Tiny halls decked in festive finery!  Teensy ornaments on teensy trees!  Baby mistletoe!  A mini-yule log!  Historically accurate, miniature ormamentation!  I can't even handle this.  I'm going next week.

Happy Merry Holidays!

Happy New You!

XOXO,
Lindsay & Rachel

Oh dear. I am obsessed.

And, for the record, I am well-aware that this is the most expensive LDS-inspired silk skirt IN THE WORLD.  But it just looks so comfy and comes in every color.

Rachel, Juan, & Lindsay = Not very hilarious

Rachel, Juan, & I tried (unsuccessfully) to take a sidesplittingly clever photo booth picture this weekend at Renegade.  It was, in fact, a grand failure.  Turns out that we're just not that funny.

In other news, Juan bought this, which I am so jealous of.  And I had it in my head that I would purchase this, but Verameat was out.

Dala Horses!

All of the dala horses over at the Dobbin Mews Holiday Shop are PRETTY CUTE.

It's weird when you find yourself on the internet.

Sometime in July, Rachel's sister Andrea visited from New York.  It's all a tad fuzzy, but, somehow, Andrea got her hands on a disposable camera as part of this project.  She took a bunch of photos here in Chicago, and in NY it seems, and then, apparently, sent it back.  We just found her roll, and it's totally awesome.  I've been looking through some of the others, too, and they're all pretty neato.  This internet thing is totally weird.

Of a Kind- Dusen Dusen

Speaking of backpacks, because everybody needs at least 7, I wish I had $175 burning a hole in my pocket today.  Dusen Dusen's Trail Rucksack is SO GOOD.  So good.  I also really like the textile tutorial they've put together.  Ah, I wish I was a thousandaire.

Fjallraven

Through unintentional, probably detrimental, late-night internet usage, I've managed to win myself this Fjallraven Kanken on the eBay.  It's a bit unnecessary, as already have the world's most badass leather backpack, and a bit unplanned, as I hadn't intended on spending a Sunday night spontaneously bidding on Kankens.  But, nonetheless, I'm pretty exited about its arrival.

All of this, however, has got me thinking about an idea Megan & I came up with this summer.  We think that Fjallraven should offer custom, DIY, paint-by-the-numbers, pick-your-own-colors, etc. etc., you-get-the-idea Kankens.  Like, you know, make-it-yourself-Chucks or designed-by-you-Keds.  Personally, I want a pink and purple backpack reallll baddd.  Originally, our plan was to start some kind of petition-y website to get our voices heard (and to get the Fjallraven people's attention).  And then maybe suggest some colors?  And the like?  Whatever happened to our SWEET plan, Megan?

Dolly, I'm saving a place for you on my walls.

Without being melodramatic, I think it's safe to say that I need this print.  And this one.  And, probably, this one, too.

Ugh.  Wild Unkown!
