Rachel, Juan, & I tried (unsuccessfully) to take a sidesplittingly clever photo booth picture this weekend at Renegade. It was, in fact, a grand failure. Turns out that we're just not that funny.
It's weird when you find yourself on the internet.
Sometime in July, Rachel's sister Andrea visited from New York. It's all a tad fuzzy, but, somehow, Andrea got her hands on a disposable camera as part of this project. She took a bunch of photos here in Chicago, and in NY it seems, and then, apparently, sent it back. We just found her roll, and it's totally awesome. I've been looking through some of the others, too, and they're all pretty neato. This internet thing is totally weird.
Of a Kind- Dusen Dusen
Speaking of backpacks, because everybody needs at least 7, I wish I had $175 burning a hole in my pocket today. Dusen Dusen's Trail Rucksack is SO GOOD. So good. I also really like the textile tutorial they've put together. Ah, I wish I was a thousandaire.
Fjallraven
Through unintentional, probably detrimental, late-night internet usage, I've managed to win myself this Fjallraven Kanken on the eBay. It's a bit unnecessary, as already have the world's most badass leather backpack, and a bit unplanned, as I hadn't intended on spending a Sunday night spontaneously bidding on Kankens. But, nonetheless, I'm pretty exited about its arrival.
All of this, however, has got me thinking about an idea Megan & I came up with this summer. We think that Fjallraven should offer custom, DIY, paint-by-the-numbers, pick-your-own-colors, etc. etc., you-get-the-idea Kankens. Like, you know, make-it-yourself-Chucks or designed-by-you-Keds. Personally, I want a pink and purple backpack reallll baddd. Originally, our plan was to start some kind of petition-y website to get our voices heard (and to get the Fjallraven people's attention). And then maybe suggest some colors? And the like? Whatever happened to our SWEET plan, Megan?
Dolly, I'm saving a place for you on my walls.
Without being melodramatic, I think it's safe to say that I need this print. And this one. And, probably, this one, too.

Am I allowed to want a cape?!
Whilst shopping for imaginary wool blankets for my imaginary Navajo-outfitted bedroom for my beautiful imaginary house, I stumbled upon this Levi's+Pendleton wool cape. I am of the opinion that it is pretty f.ing awesome. I like that the jacquard is quite subdued and that the cape silhouette is rather narrow. Do I do capes?

Adultification
I've been considering lately adult-ifying the wall art around my house. That is, I'd like to trade out some of the cat-related-thrift-store paraphernalia with a few non-cat-other-animal-related prints. You know, about a half step in the adult direction.
Here's what I've contemplated thusfar:
2 out of 4 are cat-related, but I making change is a slow process.
(I saw Debbie Carlos' work at Lula last week, and it was beautiful. I'm 100% sold on her bunny photo, and probably this for my bedroom.)
What do we think? Other totally awes prints/artists that I'm forgetting? Advise within.

It looks like I'm back on this here internet world, eh? It's been kind of a long time, most of which I can't explain what I was exactly doing or why I was not paying attention to here. However, THE TIME HAS COME. I am back. Mostly because I need place to say such things as:
