As a card carrying member of the 'I haven't had a bona fide bathing suit since '05' brigade, I'm currently in the market for a new get-up. As if I actually like trips to the beach or sitting awkwardly in the sand all day and getting little grains in every single possible bodily crevice or the toxic waste stew that is Lake Michigan or being in the company of people who stuff themselves into heinous heinous bathing suits and think they look pretty good or exposing any modicum of my pale skin to the outside world and the hot hot hot hot hot sun! But, I digress. It's summer soon, right? And sometimes a bathing suit can come in handy, no? Like, when you're staying at a hotel & they have a swimming pool?
I'm still bummed that I didn't get my hands on Lover's high-waisted, Liberty print bikini from last season. Booooo, Linzo!
However, this Samantha Pleet number is confusingly attractive to me. I can't make up my mind. Is it totally awes? Or 100% heinous? Would it make my hips look ten feet wide? Would the cherry red make me a thousand times whiter than I actually am? Do I even wear red? Please advise.

seriously, I think this suit is killer...I dig the color, and the details around the hip! CRAYZAY! I think it looks kinda unflattering on her--and would probably do so on me--b/c she's got a little meat in her thighs, plus she's somewhat well-endowed, so that's taking up some room, so it looks a little weird in her crotch area...but, without this sounding weiiiird, you seem a lot skinnier than the two of us, so it would probably look totally retro cute on you! if you could try it on, obviously that would be best...maybe just order it and return it if it doesn't work???? but I love it, I do, I do
I also think its super cute. I think either the model just looks odd in it or the picture was taken at an odd angle that's not flattering. Can you order it and return it if it doesn't work or is that a no no with swimsuits online?
i have to say, and sorry for this, but i am not digging it. the skirt/ruffle hip detail is really unflattering. i am not crazy about the top either.
how about a one piece, maybe with a racer back? i think those are very flattering, and they are really everywhere, from the gap to more upscale stores.

Seeeeee, I kind of am feeling like Juan here, too. The suit is CUTE and all, but I'm pretty sure that it'd be TOTALLY unflattering on anybody who puts it on. Those hip ruffles? Awesome in theory. Horrible in practice. And, I have a big set of hips. Boooo. I think I'll just pasadena on that one. Baaaah.
And, a RACER BACK, JUAN? ARE YOU CRAZY?!? Another fun Linzo fact: I do NOT do racer backs. Hahaha. WAY too sporty for this gal.
