Dearest Lindsay-Beth,

The other day as I was cross-stitching some initials in hankies, a harsh gust of wind blew me off the front porch. Luckily two fine strapping young brothers broke my fall (saving me from the unsightly ground that is no place for a lady). I entertained them with an offering of my hand-squeezed lemonade as gratitude for their swiftness and saving me from dirtying my Sunday's best pinafore. They were quite the gentlemen and continued to repair a neglected loose hand rail that needed tending. They mentioned being in need of two belles to escort to the town's barn dance this weekend. I obliged and told them I had a fellow debutant who came out last spring and would most likely love to join us (you!). They are going to come by a quarter past six on Saturday and give us a ride in their father's new Buick. (Ooolala). So, don your best and brightest afternoon tea dress (that reflects your chastity) for this weekend! I let them know we should be back home no later than a half past ten, seeing how Sunday morning sermons are not a friendly atmosphere to harlots who can't control their urges.

God bless, Rachel-Leigh
